Fontstruct is an Open Source online type creating tool, best suited for creating simple display fonts due to its selection of brick and shape tools. I enjoyed the novelty of this software as it made the cumbersome task of creating a typeface simple, quick and enjoyable. It feels like a game where you create an outcome which you can use.

This video shows how to use inkscape to import vector graphic images into fontforge to construct a typeface. i preferred this method as i felt it would be quicker and would allow you to create more interesting glyphs.
In this video i quickly draw calligraphic strokes and import them into fontforge where can make alterations so size shape etc

This video displays the features an uses of 'fontforge' an open source software for the manipulation and creating of typefaces.
You are able to generate the saved file into a '.ttf ' and install it in font book where it would be saved on all the font using programs where i can use it.
